The Expo
The McAllen Convention Center filled with Winter Texans for the 25th Winter Texan Expo & Health Fair. Senior citizens across the Rio Grande Valley received free health screenings and vendor giveaways Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Payne Auto Group Street Team were present during the event at the Payne Auto Group booth. Throughout the day, the team welcomed all attendees to win several items such as shirts, travel packs, fishing lures and other prizes. Several vehicles from the dealerships were on display as well.
Each year, the Rio Grande Valley sees close to 100,000 Winter Texans betweens the months of October to March. Additionally, this makes the event one of necessity and convenience.
“It’s fun being out here,” said Jocelyn Marquez, member of the Payne Street Team. “This is something you can tell that Winter Texans and seniors across the Valley are excited about, and we get the opportunity to help contribute to that.”
Admission for the Winter Texan Expo was free with an approximate 8,000 senior citizens having attended the event.
