It’s that time of year again in which the U.S. residents celebrate our nations Independence.
Fourth of July is a jewel of the summer, with pool parties, BBQ, and of course, fireworks!
Before you kick off your long weekend, read these tips for having a safe Fourth of July!
Don’t Drink & Drive!
This is a no-brainer! Stay safe out on the roads and do not drive under the influence. If you must leave, consider calling an Uber or Lyft, or ask a sober friend or family member for a ride.
Use Your Seat Belts!
Texas has strict seat belt laws that require everyone in a moving vehicle to have a seat belt on. All adults and children over 8, even those residing in the back seat, must wear a seatbelt, while children younger than 8 must be in a child safety seat.
Stay alert while out on the roads. Many people and children will be popping fireworks in their neighborhoods.
Be sure to drive carefully in neighborhoods, and keep alert in case any children might be in the road or run out into the road.
Most importantly, have FUN this Fourth of July!
