The South Texas Mustang Club has 24 years under its belt and is the Valley’s original Mustang Club. This organization proudly provides a space for “Ford Mustang enthusiasts in the Rio Grande Valley to communicate ideas, exchange information, and enjoy the hobby in a family oriented environment.” [X]

Without delay, the Show and Shine started promptly at 9 a.m. As hosts, Payne provided BBQ hot dogs, cold sodas and water. Shortly after the event began, Mustangs from all years and models filed in. The parking lot glittered with Mustangs from as late as the early 2000s all the way to the new 2018 models.

The event lasted until 1 p.m. and finished with a raffle for the members of STMC. Attendees placed their photo ID’s in a cap to be picked for a prize. Prizes included t-shirts, caps, lanyards and key chains. After the raffle concluded, all the lucky winners and members of STMC gathered to take a picture cementing a successful event.
