On August 4th the Payne Street Team attended 5×5 Brewing Company. Attendees were treated not only to hand crafted beer, but to the music pleasures of our very own Chris Marshall.
Established by Matt Mauzer, George Rice and their longtime friend, 5×5 set out to offer the Rio Grande Valley a wider selection of beer. 5×5’s “Brewmaster began a 15-year journey into the home brewing scene. With a few well-received competitions, he was able to hone his craft and develop the incredible recipes that are used today at 5×5 Brewing Co”. [X] The brews include everything from ambers to stouts.
5×5 is military veteran friendly. Founders, Matt Mauzer (U.S. Army) and George Rice (U.S. Marine Corps) partnered with two more veterans, Domingo De Le Garza (U.S. Marine Corps) and Alex Gelman (U.S. Navy). A proud military theme runs through 5×5, with even the name being “a term used by radio operators to describe when signal and clarity was at its best.” [X]
5×5 Brewing company also supports military veteran charities such as the ‘Black Ale Project’, ‘Team Red, White & Blue’ and ‘Semper-K9’.
