WESLACO, TEXAS, JUNE 16, 2016 — Payne Weslaco Motors, with the corroboration of General Motors, awarded their local Youth Pony League with a $500 sponsorship. The check was coupled with new equipment such as helmets, shirts and bats, which were presented earlier in the year. The sponsorship aims to fund any necessities the Youth Pony League may need as they prepare for their upcoming season.
Youth Pony League Sponsorship
The Chevrolet Youth Baseball program, now in its 10th year, started out as a grassroots strategy. It aims to create a positive relationship between local dealers and the community that they serve. As of 2016, the program will have provided support to approximately 350 leagues in the Northeastern region. This accounts for a total contribution of more than $600,000 in monetary and equipment donations.
