Casa de Esperanza at Payne Rio Grande City Ford

On July 18, 2018 Payne Rio Grande City Ford hosted non-profit group Casa de Esperanza. Casa de Esperanza invited people from all over Starr County to receive free haircuts and food pantry items. The event was held from 10 a.m. through 12 p.m. on Wednesday July 18.

Established in 2015, Casa de Esperanza aims to provide food and shelter to Rio Grande Valley community members in need. Casa de Esperanza’s “no-questions asked” policy assures that no member of the community is turned away.

Founder of Casa de Esperanza, Albert Esco says, “our vision is to assure that no one goes hungry in our community…and no one is denied the opportunity… [of a] healthy and nutritious meal.”

Casa de Esperanza has grown from assisting 40 families at the start of their mission to over 700 families today. In addition to providing food pantry items, Casa de Esperanza provides emergency shelter.

We at Payne Auto Group are proud to serve our community and we always recognize outstanding members that do the same.
