According to Car and Driver Volkswagen has rolled out the FINAL Volkswagen Beetle that will ever be made!

The final VW Beetle, a denim blue coupe, was assembled in Puebla, Mexico on July 9, 2019, and will be on display at the VW Museum in the same town.

The Beetle has seen a legacy of over 74 years, with the first Beetles produced in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1945, with the one-millionth Beetle rolling off the line in 1954. The New Beetle was introduced in 1998 and has sold more than 1.7 million copies worldwide.

Volkswagen is closing the chapter on an iconic model, but don’t fret! The future is bright for the brand, who announced that they are venturing into electric vehicles with a revamp on another icon: the VW Bus!
